However, if you are looking for a Shore vibe, more house and land for your money, having a difficult time finding what you want in Monmouth County, or want a lower price tag with lower taxes than Monmouth County, then Ocean County is for you.
Buyers frequently ask about commuting from Ocean County NJ to New York City. In Ocean County, there are great options for commuters. First, there are train stations in Bay Head and Point Pleasant that travel north along the New Jersey coastline, arriving at Penn Station in approximately two hours. Second, a short drive to Atlantic Highlands allows you to take a 45–60 minute Seastreak ferry ride to Downtown or East Midtown NYC.
